Bronwen Curtis CBE
Biography
Bronwen Curtis is a Chair of the Appointments Committee , General Dental Council, a non-executive director of non-executive director of The National Archives, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, SPVA, an agency of the Ministry of Defence and a member of the Prison Service Pay Review Body. She also undertakes work as an HR consultant most recently working with the Cultural Leadership Programme, London Business School and on The Normington Review of Senior Civil Service Reward Strategy. Until 2007 she was Chairman of Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust, a position she held for 9 years whilst also serving as a Civil Service Commissioner. Prior to moving into the public sector she spent 25years in the private sector and was latterly Vice President of Human Resources for Avon Cosmetics Ltd sitting on the UK Board.
Bronwen was one of the few women to hold a Board position in manufacturing. She was named Midlands Businesswoman of the Year following her work on engaging employees in delivering productivity improvements,for which she also received a British Quality award. She has also held Board positions in strategic planning and business development. She has been a Director of Langtrees, a non-executive director and Chairman of Two Shires Ambulance NHS Trust and a member of the National Manufacturing Council.
She was awarded the CBE in 2007 for her contribution as a Civil Service Commisssioner
