David Williamson
Biography
David Williamson currently heads up Williamson Consulting, a small management consultancy company based in Northern Ireland. Williamson Consulting is involved in organisational development, evaluations, appraisals and human resources management consultancy in the public and voluntary sectors. Since founding the company in 1993, David has specialised in strategic planning, organisational, policy and programme reviews and human resources. He is particularly interested in health and labour market economies and how organisational culture influences organisations’ strategic development.
From 1989 to 1993 David worked for the Industrial Society, eventually heading up the Society’s economic regeneration work in Northern Ireland and the North of England. Previously, he has worked in Human Resources and Production Management roles within industry.
On a voluntary basis, David is a founding board member and Chairman of North City Business Centre, a local enterprise agency located on a “peace line” in North Belfast. He is also actively involved in a range of voluntary roles in Lisburn Cathedral, including some youth work. He is married with three children. When time permits he enjoys a range of interests including gardening, classic cars, blues music, painting and fine wines.
