Maureen Scott
Biography
Maureen Scott is a Registered Nurse (Childrens) , also a qualified Midwife. She has a BSSc (Hons) in Psychology & Social Policy.
Maureen trained and worked at the Royal Group of Hospitals in Belfast for most of her career. Two roles held were Ward Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist.
From 1994 until her retirement in summer 2009, Maureen worked for the Royal College of Nursing, Northern Ireland Board as an Officer in the Employment Relations Department. She was a Joint Secretary of the HPSS Staff Side, a founder member of the NI Partnership Forum at the DHSSPS, a member of the Agenda for Change Implementation Group and the group overseeing the implementation of the Review of Public Administration in Health and Social Care, and had a lead role in developing a Zero Tolerance to Violence Strategy for staff in HSC.
Since her retirement, Maureen's interests have included walking, reading, volunteering and catching up on all the things she hadn' t had time to do in the past!
