PUBLICATION SCHEME FOR THE OFFICE OF MANPOWER ECONOMICS
Purpose of the Office of Manpower Economics
The Office of Manpower Economics is an independent Body funded by the Department for Business Innovation & Skills, which provides a Secretariat for the six Pay Review Bodies the School Support Staff Negotiating Body, Police Negotiating and Police Advisory England & Wales Boards. The total annual paybill for the public sector employees covered is in excess of £102 billion. The independent Review Bodies advise the Prime Minister and a variety of Secretaries of State, on matters referred to them, primarily making annual recommendations about pay levels.
