Biography

Paul Williams has held top-level HR Director positions in five global, blue-chip companies: NCR, Heinz, Glaxo, Rolls-Royce and most recently in Smith & Nephew where he also served as President of their subsidiary in Japan.

He is currently a Non-Executive Director at Hogg Robinson plc where he also chairs the Remuneration Committee.

Amongst other independent roles he is a Member of Council at Aston University and a Director of Devonshire House Management Club, which is a forum for senior professionals with an interest in the human side of enterprise.

Paul is a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of World Traders, a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts, a Member of The Royal Society of Medicine, a Member of The Institute of Directors and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.

He has a BA Hons Degree from University College London where he read history, and a postgraduate qualification from the London School of Economics.

He and his wife live in St Albans. They have two children, each with family and professional careers.
