Ron Amy OBE - Chair
Biography:
Ron Amy is a former Chairman and Chief Executive of Aon Consulting Ltd, an actuarial and benefits consulting business, which is part of the Aon Corporation.
He is an actuary by profession and has spent most of his career prior to Aon working for large multi-national companies such as Philips Electronics and Grand Metropolitan in compensation and benefits roles.
He is a graduate of Glasgow University with an honours degree in pure mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries, a former Board Member of the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority, a former Board Member of the Occupational Pensions Board, and a past Chairman of the National Association of Pension Funds.
He is the independent chairman of a number of pension scheme trustee boards in the public and private sector.
In 1998 he was awarded an OBE for services to the pensions industry.
