PUBLICATION SCHEME FOR THE SCHOOL SUPPORT STAFF NEGOTIATING BODY
Purpose of the School Support Staff Negotiating Body
The School Support Negotiating Body (SSSNB) was established in June 2009 under the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families’ prerogative powers and gained statutory status under the Apprenticeships, Children, Skills and Learning Act which received Royal Assent on 12 November 2009, and is effective from 12 January 2010. It covers school support staff in England and negotiates their remuneration and conditions of employment relating to their duties and working time. Negotiated SSSNB agreements will be submitted to the Secretary of State for ratification.
