The Office of Manpower Economics provides support for the independent Pay Review Bodies and Police Boards. The six Pay Review Bodies and two Police Boards cover groups with a current pay bill of over £50 billion.
The OME is staffed by civil servants but was set up to provide an independent Secretariat to the Review Bodies, free from Government direction as to the advice and support we offer. Our aim is to provide high quality analytical, administrative and technical support. As part of that we aim to develop and maintain good quality relationships with a wide range of Government Departments and Executive Agencies as well as Staff Associations, Trade Unions and other organisations.
This website is designed to provide a window on our activities and access to the wide range of reports produced by the Review Bodies and Police Boards. It is important to us that we make this site as transparent and user friendly as possible and we would therefore welcome any constructive suggestions for improvement.
