The Pay Review Bodies

The Chairmen of the Pay Review Bodies are appointed by the Prime Minister. Members are appointed by the Prime Minister or the relevant Secretary of State. Chairmen are remunerated at £350 and Members £300 per day respectively .

The Police Boards 

The Prime Minister appoints the independent Chair and Deputy Chair, usually the same office holder for both Boards. The Chair is remunerated at £402 and the Deputy Chair at £321 per day respectively.

Becoming a Member

Vacancies for both Chairmen and Members of the Pay Review Bodies are through fair and open competition. Vacancies for these Bodies and many others are advertised on the Cabinet Office Public Appointments Unit website.
